DePaul University

Founded in 1898 by Vincentian priests and brothers, DePaul University is the nation’s largest Catholic university.  DePaul enrolls 23,400 students – it is the most diverse private university in Illinois – and offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs of study.  Despite its size, most classes have fewer than 30 students, ensuring individualized attention from faculty. The university emphasizes hands-on experience and is nationally ranked for its service-learning program.

DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus is the oldest, largest and most active of the university's six campuses (other campuses are located in the Loop, Naperville, Oak Forest, O'Hare and Rolling Meadows).  Located on 36 acres in the heart of the neighborhood, the Lincoln Park Campus offers a traditional university environment, and is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Communication, The Theatre School, the School of Music, the School of Education, and the extensive John T. Richardson Library. Approximately 2,500 students live on campus in DePaul's 19 residence halls and buildings.
