What types of events does the LPCC offer? 
Encouraging networking and business education, the LPCC offers a wide-range of social events - from Coffee Connections to Business After Hours - and seminars including Small Business Forums. Each of our events takes place at a different time, in hopes that at least one event will be able to accommodate everyone’s schedule. Our Coffee Connections take place from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., Business After Hours are from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and our Luncheons are from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. You will need to check our Calendar of Events for other event times.  The LPCC also offers quarterly New Member Orientations which are informative meetings for new members to learn how to best take advantage of their LPCC membership and opportunities.

What are the benefits of attending LPCC events?
LPCC events are held at some of Chicago's most famous restaurants and shops and are filled with business leaders from across the city.  Our events offer an opportunity for guests to interact with their colleagues and competitors in an effort to further expand their business or social networks.

How many people attend each event? 
-Coffee Connections: 50-75 people 
-Business After Hours: 50-100 people 
-Luncheons: 75-120 people
-New Member Orientations: 15-25 people
-Small Business Forums: 15 people (max.)

How much does each event cost?

2010 Event Prices
State of the Ward Luncheon: $35/Members  $45/Non-Members

Please note for many events there is an additional charge to pay at the door. Planning for our 2010 event schedule is underway. As additional events are added, we will add their price structure here.

 What is networking 101?
A 15-minute crash course on the ins and outs of networking-from the initial hand shake to the follow-up phone call - Networking 101 is offered 15 minutes before each Coffee Connection and Business After Hours event to LPCC members looking to connect with businesses and services in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. This is your opportunity to learn effective networking tips from the pros. Hit the ground running at Coffee Connections or Business After Hours with the tools you need to meet your networking goals.

Who attends LPCC events? 
LPCC members and employees, as well as business owners and prospective LPCC members from all over the Chicagoland area.  Prospective members often enjoy coming to events to learn more about the organization.

How many people from my company can attend each event? 
If your company is a member of the LPCC anyone from your company may attend at the listed member price.

Are there any free events?
New Member Orientations are free for members who have joined the LPCC within the past six months.  Small Business Forums are open to any LPCC member and are limited to the first 15 people to register to ensure one-on-one interaction with our member experts.

Am I allowed to distribute my materials at your events? 
The sponsor and host for events may place promotional materials out on a reserved table.  However, attendees are encouraged to exchange business cards with each other to expand their networking opportunities.

Who speaks at your events? 
The event sponsor and event host are free to speak to the assembled group at our events. On occasion the LPCC will bring in speakers to discuss certain topics that are relevant to LPCC members.

Do you give refunds/cancellations for events? 
Unfortunately, due to restaurant guarantees, we are unable to provide refunds for cancellations. All sales are final.

How do you RSVP for an event? 
The LPCC asks that you RSVP for all events online. There you will find a RSVP box that will prompt you through the correct steps to RSVP.  Need more help registering? Visit our website help.

What is included in the cost of an event? 
Admittance to the event, as well as food and refreshments are included in the event cost.

How can I host an event at my business? 
In order to host an event, you must be a member of the LPCC and have a large enough space to accommodate 75-150 people.  All of our events have been completed for 2009, a waiting list has begun for 2010.  Our event hosts are selected at the end of each year, add your name to the listed to be considered for the future.  Contact the LPCC to be added to the list.

How do I become a sponsor of an event? 
You can contact the director of sales and events at (773) 880-5200 to learn more.  Sponsorship of an event ranges from $350 to $1,200 depending on the event and includes event signage, listing in promotional content and more.
