Emerald City Theatre – 2017 Neighborhood Champion

As part of the Best of Lincoln Park Awards, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) will present two Neighborhood Champion Awards; one to a resident and one to an organization or business.
The LPCC is excited to recognize Emerald City Theatre as the organization recipient of the 2017 Neighborhood Champion Award. This award honors a non-profit organization, business, or cause that has made a positive impact within the Lincoln Park community.
For more than 20 years, Emerald City Theatre has helped Chicago’s children creatively face the world through world class artistic, education and outreach programming. The company draws 50,000 families and students to their Lincoln Park Apollo Theater location annually. Serving ages 0 – 15, Emerald City’s current season adapts literary favorites, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Magic Tree House and Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale. Also This season, In partnership with award-winning Magic Tree House author, Mary Pope Osborne, Emerald City and its supporters are providing an opportunity for 60,000 CPS 2nd and 3rd graders to receive a free live stream performance of Magic Tree House: Showtime and Shakespeare and a free Magic Tree House book.
Celebrate Emerald City Theatre at the Best of Lincoln Park Awards ceremony at Victory Gardens Biograph Theater (2433 N. Lincoln) on Monday, November 13, 2017.
Tickets are $40 in advance/$50 at the door. Tickets for Groups of 5 or more are $34. In addition to a brief awards ceremony hosted by WGN Radio’s Patti Vasquez, tickets include a pre-show reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. featuring tastes and cocktails from Lincoln Park favorites and desserts in the lobby after a brief awards ceremony.
