Lincoln Park High School Receives $20M Investment

Posted on November 10, 2016

Alderman Michele Smith and Mayor Rahm Emanuel have announced a $20M investment in Lincoln Park High School (LPHS). Over the next two summers, the main building will be substantially renovated, with new computer facilities, a new “maker’s lab” for drama and video production, new cafeteria, new weight room and music room, as well as rehabbing of the exterior and many other interior spaces, including the gym and air conditioning.

LPHS will not only have a modern look, but also the latest computer wiring and equipment for wi-fi and “distance learning,” allowing students to communicate with teachers, students and experiences world-wide. Click here to view renderings of some of the planned changes.
