Congratulations to Lush Cosmetics (859 W. Armitage) on being selected as LPCC’s October, “Part of it, Proud of it” recipient!  When you walk in the doors of Lush Cosmetics you will surly be greeted by several happy and smiling people.  But don’t let these cheerful faces fool you, they are serious when it comes to their eco-friendly, 100% vegetarian, and non-animal tested products.  Even in these unsteady economic times, exceptional ethics seems to remain the primary objective for their business.  With 100% fair trade products, this company is ethical and green to the core!  Lush makes 70% of their products “naked”, as they like to say, without any packaging and make sure the ingredients they buy from all over the world are having a positive effect on the communities they are coming from.  This business really brings an international consciousness to our Lincoln Park community!

What is your favorite thing about Lincoln Park?
“Lincoln Park has a great balance of an urban environment and a small town feel.  We really like knowing all the local shop keepers and residents in the area.  It is such a clean, beautiful neighborhood, which makes walking around here everyday ideal.”

What do you value most about your membership with the LPCC?
“We really love building relationships with LPCC members.  They come into our store often and it is nice to see their loyal faces.  It is also really great to watch their businesses flourish and be part of local growth.”

What one thing do you want everyone to know about Lush Cosmetics?

“We really believe in the ethical treatment of all people, places and things.  We have a fantastic product, Charity Pot a hand a body cream, which has 100% of its retail price directly going to charities around the world that support animal rights, environment protections and humanitarian concern.”
