Lincoln Park Zoo Completes Nature Boardwalk

Posted on June 25, 2010 in Member

On Thursday, June 24, 2010 the Lincoln Park Zoo officially opened its new Nature Boardwalk - a creative and educational new feature at the famous South Pond.  With elected officials Mayor Richard M. Daley and State Representative Sara Feigenholtz, dozens of children and other community leaders on hand, the Zoo proudly showcased the new ecosystem they have created.

Mayor Daley helped several children release hundreds of minnows  into the new native habitat that will be highlighted by expert guides and paddleboats (starting in 2011).  Take a walk through nature right out your backdoor.

Press from the Chicago Tribune, TimeOut Chicago and more took in the event.

Congrats on your new attraction!
