LPCC Joins Community Businesses to Welcome Furtastik to Lincoln Park
New Facility Provides Quality Pet Care Services
CHICAGO (July 7, 2010) – With hundreds of families calling the walkable streets of Lincoln Park home, and with abundant green space in the neighborhood, it is no surprise that the community is also home to its fair share of dogs and cats. Providing services to the Lincoln Park neighborhood’s four-legged friends, a new business dedicated to safe, quality pet care has recently opened its doors.
Located at 2750 N. Ashland, Furtastik offers Lincoln Park residents access to the most up-to-date pet care products and services. On Wednesday, July 7, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) joined the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, community members, local businesses and staff from the new location to officially welcome Furtastik to Lincoln Park – and the North Side – with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“We are excited to open our first store in Lincoln Park and to bring local residents the best combination of quality, service and value for your pet’s needs,” says Guila Ismailova, owner of Furtastik. “Being located near Ashland and Diversey has been beneficial to both our customers and their dogs. We are located near a veterinary office and we are easily accessible from Lincoln Park and Lakeview.”
Furtastik maintains an air conditioned dog boarding facility and to further enhance the experience for your pet, they cap their boarding reservations at 20 dogs. Furtastik’s grooming services are only performed by licensed and accredited specialists and their dog walking services are performed by bonded professionals. Furtastik will also offer dog training and more to provide comprehensive pet care services.
Furtastik’s commitment to only the finest experience for dogs goes beyond the services provided at their facility. Furtastik only sells pet products that are produced in the United States and organically. Core pet food brands include Orijen, Halo and Evanger’s and the staff at Furtastik has access to other hard-to-find brands available for order as well. In the future, look for pet supply delivery to help pet owners manage their daily lives.
“The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to celebrate the opening of Furtastik in the Lincoln Park neighborhood,” said Kim Schilf, President and CEO of the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce. “Furtastik’s approach to pet care, with a focus on high quality products and dedicated customer service, make them a welcome addition to the LPCC and our local business community.”
Furtastik is located at 2750 N. Ashland and will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
