Securing Residential Parking and Visitor Parking PermitsTo free up parking for residents, many streets in Lincoln Park (and throughout Chicago) are zoned, and require parking permits in order to park on the street. Lincoln Park residents with proof of residency can purchase a Residential Parking Permit from the Office of the City Clerk and display it on the passenger side windshield of their automobiles. The annual fee for a Residential Parking Permit is $25 for one year (expires June 30). LaSalle St., Rm. 107 Chicago, IL 60602 To receive your Residential Parking Permit, you cannot have any outstanding parking tickets at the time of application, and you must have a current and valid Illinois State License plate. Visitor Parking PermitsYou are responsible for ensuring that your guests are provided with Visitor Parking Permits. Guests are subject to receiving a parking ticket if a current guest permit is not properly displayed on the passenger side windshield. 1-Day Visitor Parking Permits (which are valid for 24 hours from the time of posting) are available from your alderman’s offices for $5 for a pack of 15 passes (limit one per purchase).
