Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation

Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation (CAHF) has nearly 200 member agencies that seek volunteers to assist in front-line hunger relief and help with CAHF special events. The CAHF also seeks community leaders who will join their board of directors. The Chicago Province Jesuits

The Chicago Province Jesuits, 250 men serving in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, are headquartered in Lincoln Park. This organization offers numerous volunteer opportunities for lay people at sites like Poder Learning Center in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. Fairygodmother Foundation

Fairygodmother Foundation, a non-profit organization granting wishes to loves ones (18 and older) who are facing terminal illness, is currently looking for volunteers. Juvenile Protective Association

Lincoln Park Community Shelter

Lincoln Park Community Shelter (LPCS) is an overnight homeless shelter for adult men and women in Lincoln Park. LPCS Volunteer Program orientations are held monthly for new volunteers and include the following opportunities to help the homeless:

  • Nightly meal preparation for up to 40 guests
  • Overnight supervision
  • Preparing sack lunches
  • Participation on committees and the Board of Directors
  • Organizing food and toiletries collection drives

LifeSource

LifeSource, Chicagoland's Blood Center, is a non-profit corporation established in 1987. LifeSource recruits donors, collects bone marrow, and draws blood to separate into useful components and other special products for hospitals and healthcare customers.
