The Lincoln Park Boat Club (LPBC) is home to paddling and rowing in Chicago. Canoers, kayakers, rowers and scullers are frequently visible from Lake Shore Drive. Altogether, LPBC has about 100 rowing and paddling boats, plus two windsurfers. Members paddle sea kayaks, surf skis, Olympic kayaks, canoes, and other crafts. They also row shells and sculls, which are the fastest of all human-powered boats. Advanced rowers have access to the Chicago River, and advanced kayakers prepare to paddle on Lake Michigan.

The boat club also hosts a number of public classes in sea kayaking, sweep rowing, and sculling. For more information on classes, call 773/549-BOAT, or send an email to information@lpbc.net.
