Using Public Transportation in Lincoln Park

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) provides bus service and elevated and subway train service for the entire community. Most CTA bus lines run every 5-20 minutes during the day and evening, and many operate "night owl" service. If you visit the CTA's website www.transitchicago.com you can enter your address and destination, and the site will give you several options on how to get to your destination using public transit.

Lincoln Park is serviced by two train lines: the Ravenswood elevated (Brown) line and the Howard-Dan Ryan (Red) subway line. The Evanston Express (Purple) line also stops at the Fullerton El stop and provides morning and evening rush hour service between the Loop and Evanston.

Automated ticket machines are located in all subway and elevated train stations where you can easily purchase tickets. Tickets purchased in these machines are valid on all train and bus routes.

For more information on the CTA, visit the www.transitchicago.com or from area codes 312, 773, 708 or 815, call 836-7000, TTY: 836-4949.
