Lincoln Park's Outdoor Sculpture Gallery Continues to Grow

Did you know that Lincoln Park houses a unique collection of outdoor sculptures? Their styles range from classical to modern to avant-garde, and the artists' backgrounds are as varied as their sculptures. Some of the sculptures currently on display in Lincoln Park include the following:

Storks at Play

DeLaSalle

In an effort to honor new artists, 43rd Ward Alderman Vi Daley joined with area business leaders and residents to give Chicago artists exhibition opportunities in the 43rd Ward. The result was the Lincoln Park Community Art Initiative (LPCAI), a community sculpture competition that resulted in 10 large and mid-scale sculptures installed throughout the community. Lead business sponsors included General Iron, A. Finkl & Sons and the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce.

Delicate Balance

Ulysses S. Grant
