CAPS Meetings (chicago alternative policing strategy)
Beat community meetings are held regularly across Chicago’s 285 police beats, providing a platform for residents, stakeholders, and police to discuss neighborhood issues and collaborate on solutions using the CAPS five-step process. Chicago’s 22 District Councils work to improve policing, enhance accountability, and explore alternative approaches to public safety by fostering collaboration between police and residents.
