43rd Ward Aldermanic Candidates Forum

January 13, 2011 | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee is dedicated to providing local business owners, and the community at-large, access to their elected officials as frequently as possible.
With this in mind, the LPCC is proposing the development of two (2) candidates forums to focus on the important elections in the 32nd and 43rd Wards.  The LPCC is committed to remaining a leading organization in the Lincoln Park community and therefore is dedicated to taking the lead on these important forums.  Rather than following on the heels of local neighborhood organizations, the LPCC is going to plan two candidates forums and seek the support of local resident groups, rather than the other way around.
While the LPCC will drive these forums, issues affecting businesses, residents, organizations, visitors and more will be covered.  The LPCC is unable to endorse a candidate for an elected position, but we are able to provide a forum for business and neighborhood issues to be covered, hopefully encouraging our members who live in the ward to select an alderman with the needs of businesses and residents in mind.

This event is being moderated by Andy Shaw, former reporter and political watchdog/junkie.
