Curious by Nature LIVE: Turtle Traits: Aquatic vs Terrestrial Turtles with the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
December 2, 2020 | 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Join the Nature Museum for Curious by Nature LIVE! In each interactive 60 minute workshop, we'll explore unique nature and science topics.
These workshops are designed with students 5-9 years old in mind, but curious kids of all ages are welcome! Join us for one, two, or all four (at a discount if you buy the month pass!).
Materials needed: only pencil and paper!
Turtle Traits: Aquatic vs Terrestrial Turtles
Join facilitators Airen and Marjorie as they explore what exactly makes a turtle a turtle in our “Turtle Traits: Aquatic vs Terrestrial Turtles" workshop! We’ll observe both aquatic and terrestrial turtles from the Nature Museum's living collection! From webbed toes to claws to powerful beaks, turtles have everything they need to succeed in their Illinois habitats. How do these traits tell us where we’d find them in the wild?
