Lincoln Park Greek Fest 2018

June 2, 2018 | 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Expect plenty of "Kefi" (joyous fun in Greek) when Lincoln Park Greek Fest returns for its 41st smile-inducing year to the grounds of St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Friday-Sunday, June 1-3.
Visitors should again expect plenty of "filoxenia" (Greek hospitality and generosity of spirit) at this popular family-friendly happening both inside and outside the church located at 2701 N. Sheffield Avenue.
For foodies, there are Greek street foods, sweets including baklava and loukoumades (honey puffs), and specialty plates such as pastitsio (Greek-style lasagna) as well as vegetarian moussaka.  Then there are other faves including gyros, Greek chicken and souvlaki (Greek kebobs).
The stage entertainment has something for everything: from traditional and modern Greek music to dance troupes and, on Friday night, the pop/rock stylings of 16 Candles and Karma Committee.
There are activities for kids (bounce houses and games) plus an ALL-NEW crafts area with more than a dozen artists (paintings, jewelry, photography, mixed media, etc.). In addition, there are tours of the church that boasts some of the best Eastern Orthodox iconography in the City of Chicago.
