Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the Chicago History Museum

Families are invited to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. King at this all-ages event. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Museum’s exhibition, “Remembering Dr. King: 1929-1968” a look at key moments in Dr. King’s work and the Civil Rights movement, with a special focus on his time in Chicago. Activities include a production of “The MLK Project: The Fight for Civil Rights,” by Writers Theatre, a musical performance by the Chicago Chamber Choir and storytelling and crafts that reflect MLK’s messages of peace and justice.
