March 3, 2017 | 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Art was used to speak about the AIDS pandemic, advocate for its victims and critique public response to the health crisis. A panel will examine the artists who participated as activists in the AIDS crisis and the contemporary artists whose work is influenced by the AIDS crisis and ongoing HIV health issues. The panel will draw on two exhibitions on view in Chicago: “ArtAIDSAmerica,”at the Alphawood Gallery and “One day this kid will get larger,” at the Depaul Art Museum.
