Savor Lincoln Park: Birch Road Cellar Little Known History of Prohibition Virtual Whiskey Tasting
April 29, 2021 | 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
We all know the story… Temperance Leagues prevailed in 1920 and alcohol was legally banned in the United States. The “Great Experiment” or Prohibition lasted for thirteen years and had a huge impact on the trajectory of distilling in America. Learn the nuances that came out of Prohibition through a tasting of four whiskeys with Birch Road Cellar.
Grab a kit and reserve your spot for the tasting and history education. Your tasting kit will include 4 whiskey samples (serves 1) and be presented to you blind, which is just a great way to learn and pretty darn fun too. Tasting kits can be picked up at Birch Road Cellar, 1113 W. Armitage on Tuesday, April 27 - Thursday, April 29 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Link to live Zoom event featuring Birch Road Cellar staff leading the whiskey tasting and education will be emailed to attendees.
