Summer Nature Festival at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

July 19, 2017 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Summer is the perfect time to explore nature – both indoors and out. Bring the whole family and celebrate summer with us! We’ll have live music and live animals to meet and greet all evening long, plus guided hikes on our outdoor trails and family-friendly activities. Ice cream, food, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The evening's highlights will include:

• Animal encounters with our resident critters
• Hikes with Ranger Bill from the National Park Service
• Casting on the pier with the Lincoln Park Casting Club
• Birdwatching with the Chicago Ornithological Society
• Lawn games, face painting, and nature crafts
• Free ice pops for everyone
• Food, beer, and wine for sale -- including Our House Pizza, Gayle's Best Ever Grilled Cheese, and Yoberri
• Patio seating with views of the museum grounds and the Chicago skyline
• Access to the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven and all exhibits
• Live music by Cicada Summer
