The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum recognizes that the holiday season often brings a surge in negative environmental impacts—from the waste generated by fast fashion and excessive packaging, to the fuel consumption associated with online shopping deliveries and travel between retail stores. In response, the Museum is offering guests an opportunity to reduce these impacts through its Sustainable Holiday Makers Market.
The Museum is inviting local makers whose products are created from natural, recycled, and upcycled materials to showcase and sell their work, helping guests discover sustainable ways to meet their holiday needs.
Vendors for 2025 include:
Restless Creatures – Hand-tooled ornaments, wall art, and garlands made of recycled and reclaimed materials
The Mulberry Rabbit – Handmade needle-felted wool ornaments, pins, snowmen, and gift items
Sturge Stitch – Beanies, scarves, bandanas, and other winter wear
