ABOUT THE FILM: In the late 1930s, Hugo Sichel gave two tablecloths to his friend Paul Römhild, shortly before Sichel was deported and killed. After eighty years with the Römhild family in Fulda, they have been returned to Sichel’s great‑nephew. This film tells how these tablecloths came to symbolize compassion and the enduring friendship between the two men.
