The Mitten by Jan Brett
When Nicki drops his white mitten in the snow, he goes on without realizing it’s missing. One by one, woodland animals crawl inside the missing mitten; first, a curious mole, then a rabbit, a badger, and others, each one larger than the last. Finally, a big brown bear is followed inside by a tiny brown mouse, and what happens next makes for a wonderfully funny climax.

Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson
Bear’s friends are determined to share Christmas with him, so they wake him up and ask for his help to find a Christmas tree, bake cakes, hang up stockings, and sing Christmas songs. Bear stays up—and discovers that giving is one of the best Christmas presents of all!

This event is suitable for guests of all ages. After registering online, you will receive a unique link to view the event through the Zoom live video platform within two hours of the event. Please be sure you access the link prior to the event to ensure a proper connection.

The event will begin with a short introduction, followed by a 20-minute reading and then a 15-minute virtual animal meet-and-greet.
