Walk The Pond 2021 with the Lincoln Park Conservancy

Join the Lincoln Park Conservancy (rain or shine) for our annual Walk the Pond Festive Parade and Family Event at North Pond!
The day begins promptly at 10:00am with a bike and stroller ‘parade’ from the Pond overlook at the North Pond Restaurant south towards the Nature Museum with entertainment provided by:
- Alisa Rosenthal: Singalong Performance and Parade
- Twisticity: Bubble Artists and Face painters
(Parade starts promptly at 10:00am, so arrive early to decorate your vehicle. Staff will be available at 9:45am to help decorate your vehicle of choice.)
After the parade, explore activity stations along the eastern shore of the North Pond where families can learn more about the Pond and the plants and animals that call it home.
Kids will earn a small prize for visiting at least three activity stations. Activities will be led by the Conservancy and Partner organizations including:
- Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum: Live Animal interactions
- Chicago Ornithological Society: Interactive Bird Walks
- Chicago Children’s Theatre/Walkie Talkie: Green Heron radio play
Conservancy staff will be on-hand to share exciting news about North Pond's restoration, breaking ground this Fall.
No food or drink provided so please plan accordingly!
* Masks and social distancing are required for all participants, regardless of vaccination status. Stay tuned for updated guidance based on Chicago Park District and City of Chicago recommendations.
