Its free one-to-one tutoring program serves 1,200 low-income students with the help of volunteer tutors who meet weekly with their students throughout the school year. Students represent 300 different schools and 70 Chicago zip codes. By donating to Tutoring Chicago’s holiday campaign, donors ensure that nearly 1,200 low-income students—many attending school in or near Lincoln Park—can access the free tutoring and mentoring needed to excel in school and life.
Young People’s Theatre of Chicago (YPT)

Young People’s Theatre of Chicago (YPT) , a professional children’s theatre at Lincoln Park’s Greenhouse Theater Center, offers transformative experiences for children of all backgrounds. Through its “Fund the Gap” campaign, YPT bridges the $20 difference between a $10 CPS student ticket and the $30 cost per student for first-rate matinees. With a $10,000 matching gift secured, YPT seeks $10,000 more to bring 4,500 students to theatre, inspiring the next generation of empathetic theatre lovers.
