Chicago Marathon Street Closures in Lincoln Park

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is scheduled to return to the streets of Chicago on Sunday, October 8. Cheer on this year’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon participants in-person along the course or from home by following TV and radio coverage of the event.

Lincoln Park street closures will include:

  • Stockton: LaSalle to Fullerton
  • Fullerton: Stockton to Cannon
  • Cannon: Fullerton to Sheridan
  • Clark: Diversey to Webster
  • Webster: Clark to Sedgwick
  • Sedgwick: Webster to North
  • North: Sedgwick to Wells

Click here for the full map. Streets closures will occur between 7:00am and 4:00pm along the route. They will reopen throughout the day as the final runner at a 15-minute mile pace passes through. No parking zones along the course will be enforced beginning at 1:00am on Sunday, October 8. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed.

Listed below are start times for each of the groups running in this year’s marathon:

  • Marathon Wheelchair Start (men): 7:20 a.m.
  • Marathon Wheelchair Start (women): 7:21 a.m.
  • Marathon Handcycle Start: 7:23 a.m.
  • Wave 1 Start: 7:30 a.m.
  • Wave 2 Start: 8 a.m.
  • Wave 3 Start: 8:35 a.m.
  • Spectator access to Grant Park begins: 9:30 a.m.
