Construction Begins on Bike Path

Construction to create separate paths for cyclists and joggers will close the Lakefront Trail east of Lake Shore Drive between Diversey Parkway and North Avenue beginning May 22. A marked detour will take trail users west of Lake Shore Drive. Click here to see the detour map.

Construction is expected to be completed this summer. Trail users can track the process of the construction and map detours by going to chicagoparkdistrict.com/lakefront-trail.
