Lincoln Central Receives Awards in International Communications Competition

Congratulations to Lincoln Central Association (LCA)! Earlier this month, they were honored with a Grand Award and three Awards of Excellence in the 30th Annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence, an international competition in which the effectiveness of communications programs of organizations are judged without regard to organizational size or funding.
LCA’s 2018 Grand Award (shown below) came in the Campaigns, Programs & Plans category. The judges recognized LCA’s strategic use of events to create a distinct identity and brand personality bringing to life the organization’s “heart of the neighborhood” positioning. According to the judges, “If only every community could accomplish what Lincoln Central did with this fabulous ‘Heart of the Neighborhood’ campaign! Very impressive.”
LCA also won a Grand Award in 2017 in the Design & Illustration category. The 2017 award was for LCA’s organizational logo and the suite of logos created to promote LCA’s events. In both years, LCA was the only volunteer not-for-profit to be honored with a Grand Award.
From the Heart, LCA’s newsletter, was an APEX winner for the third consecutive year, winning three 2018 writing awards. APEX Awards of Excellence are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications effectiveness.
