Lincoln Park Community Research Initiative Announces Spring Program

DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Community Research Initiative (LPRCI) will host its Spring 2019 program “The Battle of Lincoln Park: Reflecting on our neighborhood’s complex history” on Wednesday, June 12 at the Lincoln Park Student Center (2250 N. Sheffield).

The LPCRI spring program will feature author Daniel Kay Hertz as he traces the urban renewal path that began in the late 1950’s and discuss the ensuing gentrification process through the following decades.

A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., which will include light refreshments, with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Though admission is free, interested attendees must RSVP by emailing cgr@depaul.edu. The event is easily accessible by public transportation and parking is available at the Sheffield Parking Garage, 2331 N. Sheffield for $7.25.
