Lincoln Park Thrift Store Operating for Over 60 Years Set to Re-Open in August

Posted on July 30, 2019

The Nearly New Thrift Shop at St. Vincent de Paul Center, is hosting a grand re-opening on Tuesday, August 13 with new merchandise, longer hours of operation, and Saturday hours. The store, which sells new and gently used high-end fashions, homewares, jewelry, and kids’ clothes, temporarily closed in May of this year due to a staffing issue.

Since first opening in 1968, Nearly New has been an important source of funds at Marillac St. Vincent Family Services (MSV), a comprehensive human services organization serving tens of thousands of individuals of all ages in Chicago. Every donation to Nearly New and every purchase made in the store, goes directly back to the programs at MSV.

Nearly New’s new store hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-6pm, and Saturdays, 10am-4pm Staff and volunteers invite guests to the grand reopening on August 13 for refreshments and offering 30% off your total purchase.
