Here’s your Lincoln Park weekend event guide to catch some of the best fests, culture and happenings in Chicago.
Pop-Up Dinner: An Evening in Sardinia @ Read It & Eat
Join the author of The Sardinian Cookbook, Viktorija Todorovska, and Fabio Pibiri, a native Sardinian and importer of Sardinian products, as they cook for you and talk about the unique wines of Sardinia and share their stories of the island, its people and its culinary and wine traditions.
The menu will consist of:
Antipasti: pane carasau with Sardinian EVOO and sea salt; tomato bruschetta with bottarga
Main course: malloreddus alla campidanese (tomato-sausage sauce)
Cheese course: Sardinian pecorino with honey
Dessert: chocolate mirto truffles
The wines served and many of the ingredients used that day will also be available for sale that evening should you wish to extend the experience of the evening to your home kitchen!

Chicago Air and Water Show 2016
The 58th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show, presented by Shell and the City of Chicago, will return August 20 and 21 along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach serving as show center from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.
Strong in tradition and one of the largest FREE admission events of its kind, the show headliners include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights. Included this year, the U. S. Air Force F-35 will take part in the show for the first time.

Taut and suspenseful, Bloodshot is a one-man murder mystery following photographer Derek Eveleigh, who has been hired by an anonymous benefactor to pursue a showgirl through the streets of 1957 London. After witnessing the young woman’s murder by an unknown assailant, he embarks on an investigation, taking him through the bowels and backstreets of London, to find the young woman’s killer. Along the way he meets hustlers, musicians, and magicians, and finds himself falling in love with a dead woman that he’s never met.
