LPCC Participates in 43rd Ward Rotating City Hall
On Wednesday, December 10, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) was invited by Ald. Timmy Knudsen (43rd) to participate in a “Rotating City Hall” with community leaders and citywide officials including Samir Mayekar, Deputy Mayor of Economic & Neighborhood Development; Michael Fassnacht, the city’s Chief Marketing Officer and President & CEO of World Business Chicago; and Chicago’s First Lady Amy Eshleman. It was a great opportunity to not only highlight some of the 43rd ward’s great assets as well as opportunity to discuss some of our future challenges and community needs. Stops included Lincoln Park High School, Oz Park, Steppenwolf Theatre, Theater on the Lake and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Stakeholders from multiple businesses and organizations joined the tour throughout the day. At lunch, the LPCC hosted a conversation focused on how our local business community can better access city grant programs and activate vacant storefronts.
