As part of the Lincoln Park Top 10 Awards, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) will present two Neighborhood Champion Awards; one to a resident and one to an organization or business.

We’re excited to recognize Green City Market as the second recipient of the 2016 Neighborhood Champion Award. This award honors a non-profit organization, business, or cause that has made a positive impact within the Lincoln Park community.

Celebrating their 18th anniversary, Green City Market is Chicago’s largest and first year-round sustainable farmers market connecting farmers and local producers directly to chefs and the greater Chicago community and providing a marketplace for sustainably grown food. Their mission is to provide access to healthy food for all Chicagoans by not only accepting LINK (formerly food stamps) but also matching what shoppers spend on their LINK card dollar for dollar up to $15 per market. In addition to their marketplace, Green City Market also provides educational programming to the community through Edible Gardens, Club Sprouts, and Chef Demos.
