Work on the Webster Street Bridge has been extended to Monday, December 16. The original completion date was November 25.

For now the bridge will remain closed to traffic during the work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Eastbound traffic will continue to be diverted north on Ashland to Fullerton. Westbound traffic will be diverted north on Racine to Fullerton.

The construction is focused on repairs to the underside of the bridge. It is one of the major routes across the river for those heading west out of Lincoln Park. The city says additional repairs will be needed in 2020, and then further south, the Cortland St. Bridge will be worked on in 2021.
