Michael Young specializes in site-specific public sculpture and light-based work. For over thirty years, his customized artwork and design elements have appeared in numerous public and private collections both across the United States and abroad. Skilled in materials ranging from aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel to wood, glass, and light, Young’s work is self-fabricated at Sedgwick Studio in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

Looking Up epitomizes the notion that we’re inherently connected to the world around us. An abstract sculpture, people find their own meaning. With its organic forms allowing multiple interpretations, it promotes interdependence of living things; a sense of freedom through togetherness.
