October 9, 2016 | 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM

The 2016 presidential campaign is unlike any other in our nation’s history. Join the Chicago History Museum, in collaboration with WBEZ Chicago, for a series of panel discussions and televised viewings of the 2016 presidential debates, and watch history unfold live at the Museum.

Chicago columnist and political analyst Laura Washington will moderate the panel discussions featuring public officials, political scholars, election strategists and Chicago journalists. The events will be held at the Chicago History Museum at 7 p.m. before each candidate debate.

Panelists for Debate Watch: The Second Presidential Debate include Jesús “Chuy” García, Cook County commissioner, Seventh District; Julie Lee Merseth is an assistant professor of Political Science and a faculty associate of the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University; and Dina Smeltz, senior fellow, Public Opinion and Foreign Policy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs for a discussion on immigration.
