Lincoln Avenue Revitalization Strategy

The Lincoln Avenue corridor in Lincoln Park is undergoing a transformation. With the redevelopment of the former Children’s Memorial Hospital site into the Lincoln Common and other major developments such as ELEVATE Lincoln Park and Duet being completed in the near future, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) began a planning process and engaged with a consultant in 2016.

With funding from the Lincoln Avenue Special Service Area (SSA #35), the LPCC hired the Lakota Group, in partnership with Sam Schwartz Engineering and Goodman Williams Group,  to gather community input, analyze existing conditions, and ultimately make recommendations for the future of the corridor.

The LPCC’s goal was to create a vision for the Lincoln Avenue as a thriving commercial corridor, improve the quality of life for residents and visitors, and to create and maintain a place where people and businesses want to be.

The Lincoln Avenue Revitalization Strategy assesses the current state of the corridor and makes recommendations for (1) public way improvements and aesthetics, (2) corridor branding, marketing, and placemaking, and (3) business attraction. The study area for this plan stretches along Lincoln Avenue from Webster on the south to Diversey on the north.

Below you will find the different components of the Lincoln Avenue Revitalization Strategy, or you can access the plan in its entirety here.
