Environmental Justice for Puffins at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

October 12, 2023 | 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

About the program:

Everyone who has ever seen a puffin falls in love with them. If nature lovers truly care about the mounting threats to them and whether they’ll be around for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren, then they must also care about those families living with environmental justice, including southeast Chicago. The destiny of a beautiful bird is directly bonded to dumped-on families. They are bonded to the speed we curb the fossil emissions that scorch the planet and sear the lungs.
