DePaul University-Coleman Entrepreneurship Center’s "Business Owner Academy" is offering a course titled "Harvesting, Transitioning, and Moving On: The Five Steps to Life After Your Business"
Over 80% of business owners who leave/sell their firm report being dissatisfied with the outcome and financial value harvested. This is primarily due to a lack of planning, poorly qualified advisors, and not learning from other owners’ experiences.
In this course, you will learn how to achieve financial security, maintain harmony with family members, control how and when you transition, and minimize your tax burden. With peer business owners, you will participate in hands-on activities and achieve milestones such as creating a personal transition plan; identifying possible transition strategies; understand how to increase the value of your business; and visualize life after your business.

This course is part of the Business Owner Academy, a curriculum of courses open only to owners of companies generating up to $25 million in annual revenue.
