Read It & Eat Pop-Up Dinner: An Evening in Sardinia

August 19, 2016 | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Sardinia is a magical island famous for its beauty and for having the longest living population in the world, and if you've had the opportunity to visit the island and taste their delicious food and wine, you are truly lucky.  If you haven't; don't worry, for this one night, we are hosting a 4-course Sardinian dinner with wine pairings that will leave you with a taste of what the island has to offer!

Join the author of The Sardinian Cookbook, Viktorija Todorovska, and Fabio Pibiri, a native Sardinian and importer of Sardinian products, as they cook for you and talk about the unique wines of Sardinia and share their stories of the island, its people and its culinary and wine traditions.  The menu will consist of:
Antipasti: pane carasau with Sardinian EVOO and sea salt; tomato bruschetta with bottarga
Main course: malloreddus alla campidanese (tomato-sausage sauce)
Cheese course: Sardinian pecorino with honey
Dessert: chocolate mirto truffles

The wines served and many of the ingredients used that day will also be available for sale that evening should you wish to extend the experience of the evening to your home kitchen!
