Solitary Vices: Solo Bassoon Performance by Ben Roidl-Ward at the International Museum of Surgical Science
April 28, 2023 | 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Doors open at 6:30PM. Concert begins at 7PM. The Museum will close at 9:30PM.
Ben Roidl-Ward presents "Solitary Vices," a concert of new works for bassoon that reimagine the instrument's sonic, technical, and expressive capabilities. These pieces are the result of close collaboration between Roidl-Ward and the featured composers, and illustrate his continued commitment to championing the work of living composes and building a new repertoire for his instrument. The program will feature world premieres as well as the Chicago premiere of Yi-Ting Lu's solo work Taxidermy.
