Emerald City Theatre to host Holiday Gala 2017

Posted on September 12, 2017

Emerald City Theatre will host a very special benefit performance of Ken Ludwig’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place, followed by a family-friendly gala reception at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, on Sunday, November 19. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and the performance begins at 10:00 a.m.

The gala reception includes a delectable lunch, meet and greet with characters from the show, a visit from Santa, crafts and activities for kids, live and silent auctions for grown-ups, music, entertainment, dancing, and more surprises to come! All proceeds from this event support Emerald City Theatre’s signature outreach program, One Fund, which delivers a free play and free companion book to low-income Chicago Public Schools students.

Ken Ludwig’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Synopsis
‘Twas the Night before Christmas, and all through the house, creatures were stirring, including a mouse! Kick off your family’s yuletide season with this comic take on the classic poem. When Santa’s Naughty or Nice list has gone missing, it’s up to a pair of dancing mice, a spunky girl, and an Elf-B-I agent to solve the mystery before Santa boards his sleigh. This Chicago premiere is a holiday gift for all ages.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 773.529.2690.
