1st Annual St. George Eco Fest

Commissioner Mariyana Spyropoulos is hosting the 1st annual an EcoFest with free shredding and environmental resources on Saturday 9/30 from 9:30 to 11 am! In collaboration with and supported by St. George Greek Orthodox Church, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Cook County Commissioner Bridget Degnen, State Representative Ann Williams, Alderman Timmy Knudsen, and Waste Not Compost.
Come for one-stop with all your eco-friendly disposal needs with paper shredding, pharmaceutical disposal, and electronics recycling. Take home several offerings for free: native pollinator and Milkweed seed packets and Oak saplings! Plus, enter to win a rain barrel. Learn about MWRD’s work from conservation, green infrastructure with Space to Grow, native plants, water reclamation plants, stormwater management, TARP, and flood controls. Plus, learn about composting services. St George will provide delicious treats for attendees.
