DePaul’s 2021 Graduation Celebration

Earlier this year, DePaul University made the decision not to hold in-person commencement ceremonies in 2021, as they are committed to taking care of the DePaul community and their Lincoln Park neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic. To create a celebratory moment for graduates, DePaul will host a graduation celebration event on their Lincoln Park Campus from May 19 -May 28 to complement virtual commencement ceremonies. The celebration will include photo ops and commencement-themed activities. They expect up to 100 attendees at any given time during the event hours of 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The events will follow all of the city of Chicago’s COVID-19 mandates.
The 2021 graduates have spent their last quarters at DePaul almost entirely in virtual classes, so to provide an occasion to celebrate their achievements brings joy in a difficult time.
