Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) President & CEO Kim Schilf was recently named Distinguished Illinois Chamber of Commerce Executive of the Year at the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) Annual Celebration & Awards Dinner.

“For three decades, Kim Schilf has dedicated her service to the Lincoln Park community in Chicago, working as an executive for the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCC). Schilf served as IACCE Board Chair in 2004 and continues to generously mentor numerous chamber of commerce executives throughout Chicago and Illinois.” said Mike Paone, IOM, 2023 IACCE Board Chair and Vice President, Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce. “Through Schilf’s steadfast dedication, strategic planning, and community-focused initiatives, the LPCC has made a lasting and transformative impact on the local community, serving as a beacon of economic stability, innovation, and progress.”

LPCC Chairman of the Board Jonathan Mayotte states, “Kim has the organization running like a well-oiled machine in every department. While other Chambers struggled to survive during the pandemic, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce not only survived but has grown its membership and retained staff. I credit this to Kim, who did a magnificent job of leading the organization through the crisis.”

The Distinguished Illinois Chamber of Commerce Executive Award – the Brann Award – began in 1991 to recognize the exemplary performance and leadership of an Illinois chamber executive within their local chamber, community and to the chamber profession. The award is named in honor of Lester W. Brann, Jr., CCE, the first recipient of the award and past president of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

The award recognizes the long-term professional career achievements of the candidate. Criteria to be evaluated includes experience, training and education, service to IACCE and other professional organizations, service to Chamber colleagues, ethical conduct in dealing with others, a highly developed sense of professionalism, leadership and an abiding desire to advance the profession of Chamber management.
