The Lincoln Park High School (LPHS) Dance Team made Chicago Public Schools (CPS) history on Sunday, February 5, as they competed at Dance Team Nationals against teams from all over the United States in Orlando, FL. The team performed their Jazz routine in the Semi-Finals and was selected to advance to the Finals. LPHS was one of the top ten teams to advance to Nationals Finals and is now ranked 6th in the Nation in Intermediate Jazz.

In addition to the National Dance Team Championships, the team had a very successful competition season. The Dance Team placed top three at two Illinois Dance Team Association (IDTA) competitions at Metea Valley and Maine East High School and were named Dance City Champions for the second year in a row. The back-to-back City Champions are very excited about the momentum of the team, and look forward to continuing their success in the future!
